Square Solid Brass Candleholder - Brushed Brass
We came across this Square Candleholder in brushed brass, and it's the kind of thing that makes you wonder why you didn't own one sooner. It's solid brass, which means it's not going to fall apart on you, and it has this clean, no-nonsense design that somehow manages to look both simple and expensive. The lines are straight. The proportions are reasonable. It sits there doing its job without any fuss. Over time, the brass will develop a patina - a fancy word for "it's going to look like it's been around" - which we find oddly appealing. If you prefer the shiny version, you can polish it with brass polish, though you'll want to make sure you're using the right kind. We learned this the hard way, as we learn most things. The dimensions are 1.97 inches by 1.57 inches by 1.97 inches, which means it's small enough to not take over your shelf but substantial enough that you'll actually notice it's there. It's made entirely of brass, which is the kind of detail that matters if you care about such things. We do.
Drip Candle Holder - Small
The Drip Candle Holder by Pascal Smelik for POLSPOTTEN is a marvel in design. Designer Pascal Smelik is fascinated by the concept of deformity. The Drip Candle Holder is inspired by that very fascination. The fun and elegant design invites you to light up the room, use it as part of your evening table décor, or as a stand-alone object - try combining multiple Drip Candle Holders in various sizes, the effect is pure magic.
Drip Candle Holder - Large
In the POLSPOTTEN family of things, Drip is the one who can be a bit of a drama queen. That’s no surprise for a relative who has so much to carry. The most beautiful trait of Drip is how she lights up when she’s the center of attention. She shines a standalone object of beauty on your mantlepiece and enchants when lit up on a dinner table. Every kink and curve in her plated aluminium body is unique, conceived by designer Pascal Smelik, who is fascinated by deformity. Drip theatrically extends her arms and takes the stage as the crown of your décor.

Cruz Vase - Small, White
This small white vase arrives looking like something you'd find at a pottery class taught by someone who actually knows what they're doing - which is to say, it's got character. The deckled texture catches the light in ways that make you wonder if you're supposed to understand ceramics now, and the clay is sturdy enough that you won't spend the evening worried it'll topple over. Pair it with some branches or flowers, and suddenly your table looks intentional, like you've got your life together. Which, let's be honest, is half the battle.
Lasi Vase - Large - Vanilla
We found this vase - the Lasi in Vanilla - and we have to say, it's the kind of thing that makes us feel like we know what we're doing with interior design, which we don't. It's hand-blown glass, which means someone actually sat down and made it by mouth, a fact that becomes oddly erotic once you think about it. The shape is organic in that way that suggests accident more than intention, which is probably the whole point. It's vanilla-colored, a shade that sounds boring until you realize it's warm and forgiving and goes with basically everything we own. Ten inches wide, nearly twelve inches tall - substantial enough that it won't disappear on a shelf but not so large that we feel like we're decorating a hotel lobby. Each one is different because they're made by hand (and mouth), which we appreciate, even though it means we can't guarantee ours will match the one in the photo. It's glass. That's it. No tricks. We like that about it.
Lasi Vase - Medium - Taupe
We picked up this Lasi Vase and were immediately struck by how unpretentious it is. It's round, organic, the kind of thing that doesn't announce itself but somehow makes a room feel intentional. The taupe color sits there quietly, waiting for whatever flowers or branches you decide to pair it with. It's the sort of object that works whether your home is minimalist or cluttered, which we appreciate because our own spaces tend toward the latter. The thing is handblown and hand-turned, which means there's actual craft involved. We're not making it ourselves, mind you, but we respect the people who do. It's glass, pure and simple. Nine point eight inches wide, eight point five inches tall. It comes in other colors and sizes if this particular combination doesn't suit you, though we think the taupe is rather nice.

Bigfoot Storage Tray
Materials: Black walnut, Beech, Sapele, Natural Wood Wax Oil 7.8 x 3.3 in and 5.8 x 5.8 in Picture this: a wooden foot-shaped tray sitting on your desk, and suddenly your pens have a home. Your keys know where they belong. Your life is organized, or at least it looks that way from across the room. These Big Foot Storage Trays are the kind of thing that makes you feel like you have your act together, even if you don't. Available in black walnut or beech, each tray arrives as the result of what can only be described as obsessive woodworking. We're talking sapele wood carved with enough precision to make a surgeon jealous, then joined together with the kind of craftsmanship that makes you wonder if the maker ever sleeps. Over a thousand sanding passes later, the whole thing gets finished with two coats of wood wax oil, which means it feels as good as it looks. Two sizes mean you can scatter them across your vanity, coffee table, or dining table without committing to a whole matching set. They're functional storage, sure, but they're also the kind of charming, slightly absurd decor that makes people ask where you got them. That's the real win.
TOPO Jewelry Tray
The TOPO Tray is a sculptural catch-all for jewelry and accessories, inspired by the rolling hills of California's central coast - because apparently we all need our earrings to have a sense of place. Carved from solid hardwood, each piece comes with its own unique grain pattern, which is a polite way of saying no two are identical. Some might call that inconsistency; we call it character. A felt cushioning layer underneath keeps your furniture from getting acquainted with the wood in ways you'd rather avoid. It's the kind of object that takes up real estate on your nightstand without asking permission. Designed by Square Objects and made by Johi, a family-owned design studio in Santa Cruz county where everything is handcrafted in their Watsonville workshop. Johi is committed to natural materials and finishes that won't slowly poison your bedroom air, and they're proudly Middle Eastern and Hawaiian-American owned.
