Nogurumi specimen cube

Named for its spiky appearance - "Fox's comb" or "Monkey's comb" depending on who you ask in Japan - this botanical wonder has figured out a rather clever system. Seeds nestle between the cone's spines, waiting for a breeze to carry them off to new adventures. What you've got here is that same plant, captured in its full glory and suspended in acrylic resin like some sort of tiny, optimistic time capsule. It's the kind of object that reminds you nature doesn't need our permission to be both useful and delightfully strange.
