Globe thistle specimen cube

Sola Cube has encased a globe thistle in acrylic resin, capturing that peculiar moment when nature can't decide what it wants to be. The thing starts out looking like it means business--all those thorny little buds clustered together, ready for a fight. Then the flowers open and the whole situation softens into something unexpectedly delicate and fluffy, which feels like a betrayal of the thistle's original intentions.

It's the kind of object that makes you lean in closer, wondering if you're looking at a plant or a secret someone decided to preserve. Made from dried plant material suspended in acrylic resin.
