Celebration matches

Celebration Matches from Piecework Puzzles are the kind of thing you buy thinking you'll use them sparingly, for special occasions, but then you find yourself lighting them just to watch the flame flicker while contemplating your life choices. They're functional, sure, but mostly they're an excuse to feel like you've got your act together - like someone who owns matches in a decorative box is someone who has things figured out. We like to think they capture that same peculiar satisfaction you get from completing a puzzle: the small victory of making disparate pieces fit into something whole. Light one and pretend, for just a moment, that you're the kind of person who celebrates the ordinary.
