Why we carry this
Aragonite earned its nickname - Sputnik - because someone looked at those radial crystals and thought, "Yes, that's exactly what a Soviet space satellite looks like." We appreciate this kind of creative naming. The mineral's shape shifts depending on where it crystallizes, which is either a metaphor for adaptability or proof that geology has a sense of humor. We're not entirely sure which.
Named after Aragon, Spain, where the stuff practically grows on trees (or in rocks, technically), aragonite carries the mineral essence of courage to let go. Which sounds nice, even if we're mostly just here for the conversation starter. Acrylic and mineral construction.
