Crafted by JOHI - a Santa Cruz design studio run by Holly and Raja, who named their company after Jordan and Hawaii, their respective family roots - it's a solid hardwood creation inspired by California's rolling hills. The felt bottom won't scratch your furniture, and each piece's wood grain is genuinely unique, which is either a feature or a reminder that nature doesn't believe in consistency. It's the sort of object that transforms your nightstand from a catch-all into something that suggests you have your life together, even if you don't.
The Garbage Collection: Water Bottle Vases
We created 3 different vases in the forms of discarded, single-use products with the intention of drawing attention to the waste we all produce. 10% of all sales from The Garbage Collection will be donated to help clean up ocean waste. Material: concrete w/ recycled glass Size: 2.75” w x 7” h Our concrete work is all individually hand cast from custom made rubber molds. Colors are integrally mixed into the concrete and results in each piece being unique. We use recycled materials and are able to create a finished product 30% lighter than traditional concrete (in our non-terrazzo pieces). Although the sealer is food grade and safe we don't recommend using these for direct food contact. Natural voids occur during casting and some pieces will have very small pin holes. Do not submerge in water. Wipe clean with mild soap and water.
